The first St. Moritz Cocktail Week

The history of St. Moritz and its iconic institutions is the starting point of all creations. Barmen and women aim to create a real tasting experience through their cocktails while sharing the story behind their mixes. For the first edition of St. Moritz Cocktail Week, the guiding theme is "Postcards from St. Moritz". Bartenders follow this topic to create their own signature cocktail, served only from 16 - 19 February as a limited edition.

For the founding team around Annalisa Testa, the event is all about "have less, but the best". Hence, the aim of the festival is to educate people to drink responsibly and seek quality.

Opening Night at King's Social House

The Cocktail Week is kicked-off with a glamorous opening night at the King's Social House inside the iconic Badrutt's Palace. Since 1896, the hotel is located in the heart of St. Moritz. Its tower has been the symbol of one of the most beloved ski resorts in the world. In this atmosphere of elite luxury, there is King's Social House. As Switzerland's oldest nightclub, has evolved to a neo-bistro concept combining restaurant, bar and nightclub in one venue. Developed by Jason Atherton, the club sports a sophisticated approach to drinks and a lineup of roaming international DJs to keep St. Moritz rocking.

St. Moritz is one of the most iconic winter tourism destinations. We have visited the snow-covered mountain village many times to attend its spectacular events like the White turf, Snow Polo or THE ICE. One building that always pops out when standing on the frozen lake, is the Badrutt's Palace. It was opened as early as 1896 by Caspar Badrutt. The chateau theme reflected the romantic era of the "Grand European Tour". Similarly designed grand hotels also popped up in the Canadian Rockies around that time.

Today, the Palace retains its fairy tale castle aura. It offers an enchanting mix of tradition and modernity, where people connect and celebrate with family and friends. In addition to rooms, suites and infrastructure of excellent quality, the service stands out here. The guest experience is truly elevated to the heights of luxury here in St. Moritz.

King's Social House

Another spectacular outlet inside the Palace with a rich history is the King's Social House. It is testament to the hotel's ability to evolve to reflect new tastes. The history of King's Social House begins in the 1960s. Back then, the second generation of the Badrutt's family took over the management of the hotel. In order to keep up with the demands of the younger clientele, the hotel opened Switzerland's first nightclub: the King's Club. It was a hit!

In 2018, the space evolved to become King's Social House. Its neo-bistro concept was developed by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton. Guests arrive from 8pm on and enjoy some sharing plates, champagne and cocktails while the music is gently turned up, until the party gets started.

In addition to delicious food and drinks, King's Social House also offers a wonderful environment. Created by Rosendale Design, it features a wonderful bar and several murals in vibrant colors. It's the perfect setting for a night out!
