As the guest artist for Ruinart's Carte Blanche 2023<\/a>Eva Jospin presents her interpretation of the Maison's terroir. Following its opening event in Paris earlier this year, the Carte Blanche exhibition by Ruinart<\/a> travels the world, revealing itself to art enthusiasts across different continents. In June 2023, Art Basel in Basel serves as the next destination for this remarkable exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carmontelle by Eva Jospin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of this year's Carte Blanche exhibition lies Eva Jospin's<\/a> sculptural landscape, meticulously crafted using her preferred medium - cardboard. Her installation comprises a series of masterpieces, reliefs, drawings, and embroideries arranged around a Carmontelle, reminiscent of the 18th-century era when Ruinart was founded. The Carmontelle, an invention of the Enlightenment era, serves as the narrative architecture of Carte Blanche. It unfolds a story without words, drawing connections between underground cray\u00e8res, vineyards, nature, architecture, and the artist's handiwork in the studio, mirroring the intricate processes involved in champagne production. The intertwining motif echoes the vine tendrils, symbolizing the sublime connection between these two worlds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
