Based on the Ferrari Portofino, the new Ferrari Roma is an ultra high performance turbocharged V8 model placed between the Portofino and the F8 Tributo in Ferrari's range of sports cars. It represents a renaissance for a Ferrari that embodies understated luxury. With its distinctive flair and style, the car is a contemporary representation of the care-free, pleasurable way of life that characterized Rome in the 1950s and '60s. An era that we are particularly fond of here at Artworth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elegant, pure design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ferrari is known for their recognisable designs. For the Roma<\/a>'s exterior, the Ferrari Styling Centre went for an approach which gravitates around clean design and absolute symbiosis between its various elements. Harmonious proportions are complimented with pure, elegant volumes. To underline this thoughtful minimalism, all superfluous detailing has been removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sport & Performance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Ferrari Roma<\/a> represents the pinnacle of performance in its category. This is thanks to its turbo-charged V8 from the family of engines that has won the overall International Engine of the Year Award<\/a> four years running. In this version, the engine reaches 620 cv at 7500 rpm and is coupled with the new 8-speed DCT gearbox that was introduced on the SF90 Stradale. It is no surprise that this V8 engine impresses with an acceleration from 0-100 km\/h in 3.4 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ferrari Roma<\/a>'s chassis benefits from the technology developed by Ferrari for its new generation models. Both body-shell and chassis have been redesigned to incorporate the latest weight reduction and advanced production technologies. An impressive 70% of its components are entirely new, resulting in the best weight\/power ratio in its segment (2.37 kg\/cv). This enhances overall handling dynamics and responsiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had the opportunity to test drive the Ferrari Roma<\/a> in the beautiful area of Gstaad<\/a> in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. Here, winding roads on scenic routes offer amazing conditions. As we take the sports car for a spin, we immediately fall in love with it. Unparalleled performance meets driving pleasure and distinctive Ferrari charms. What a combination!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
