Geneva has a way of making a watch launch feel cinematic, and Longines leaned fully into that atmosphere for the debut of the new-generation HydroConquest. The evening began on the Quai du Mont-Blanc, where guests boarded boats bound for a lakeside dinner. A journey that subtly echoed the collection’s own identity: refined, capable and unmistakably connected to the water.

As the boats pulled away from the Quai du Mont-Blanc, Geneva offered the kind of setting that Swiss watchmaking rarely needs but always benefits from: the lake, the lights, the mountains beyond, and the quiet sense of anticipation that comes with a new chapter. It was an elegant way to frame the HydroConquest, a collection that has always lived between worlds: technical enough for aquatic adventure, refined enough for the city.
The choice of arrival was more than a charming detail. Traveling by boat gave the evening its narrative: water as atmosphere, movement as ritual, and Geneva as a stage for Swiss precision. By the time guests reached the dinner venue, the HydroConquest already felt contextualised. Not simply as a diver-inspired sports watch, but as a companion for moments that move easily from open air to polished surroundings.

That duality is exactly what defines the new release. For 2026, Longines presents a comprehensively redesigned HydroConquest line in beautiful 39-mm and 42-mm stainless-steel cases, updating the collection with sharper proportions, cleaner dials and a broader play of colors. The result is sportier, more contemporary and still unmistakably Longines.
The dials bring much of the freshness. Polished lacquered finishes in blue, black and green are joined by a frosted-blue sunray variation that catches the light with a softer, more marine-inspired personality. Around them, five ceramic bezel colors: black, blue, slate grey, green and luminous blue. This selection creates a wide spectrum of combinations, from classic to boldly summery.
The reworked unidirectional rotating bezel system, borrowed from the Ultra-Chron Diver model, delivers enhanced tactile feeling. A new Super-LumiNova® capsule at the time “0” position on the bezel brings optimal visibility in all lighting conditions. With a screw-in crown and robust construction, these timepieces offer a water resistance of up to 30 bar (300 metres).

Perhaps the most immediately stylish update is the arrival of Milanese mesh bracelets, a first for HydroConquest. Crafted in stainless steel with a full-brushed finish and polished sides, they bring a lighter, more Riviera-like character to the line. On the wrist, the mesh shifts the watch from tool-watch territory towards something more fluid and versatile, equally convincing with tailoring, linen or weekend wear.
The traditional stainless-steel bracelets have also been refined with H-shaped links, a double-folding safety clasp and micro-adjustment. Together, the bracelet options reinforce one of the strongest impressions of the new HydroConquest: this is a sports watch designed not just for capability, but for comfort and ease.
Back in Geneva, that message came through clearly. The lake transfer, the evening atmosphere and the collection’s maritime identity all worked together without feeling overproduced. The HydroConquest did not need to be explained at length; the setting did much of the storytelling.

The new HydroConquest feels like an evolution rather than a reinvention, and that is its strength. Longines has sharpened the design, expanded the color language and introduced bracelet options that broaden the watch’s personality, all while keeping the foundations intact: legibility, robustness, water resistance and everyday elegance.
For a collection built around the water, there could hardly have been a more appropriate introduction than crossing Lake Geneva by boat. From the Quai du Mont-Blanc to dinner, the evening captured the core promise of the HydroConquest: a watch made for movement, but never at the expense of refinement.
